Stuart D. Shelly: Stuart D. Shelly leads the Investment Committee and has ultimate profit, loss and compliance responsibility under all investments made by the firm. Mr. Shelly has over 20 years of banking, investing and financial management experience and has completed over $45 Billion of Debt and Equity transactions as an underwriter, agent or principal. Prior to founding Transitional Investors LLC, Mr. Shelly was head of GE Capital Merchant Banking Group’s western region, responsible for all Sponsor Coverage, Private Equity Investments, Fund Investments, LBO Senior Debt and Equity Co-investments for the firm. Mr. Shelly joined GE in 1999 after co-heading Bank of Montreal’s Leverage Finance Group. Mr. Shelly joined BMO as a result of its purchase of KPMG BayMark Capital, where he was a founding partner and responsible for all private capital arrangement assignments from 1994 to 1997. Mr. Shelly was also a founding member of Bank of America’s Leveraged Finance Group in 1986, and in 1988, opened Bank of America’s Leveraged Finance Office in Madrid, Spain. Prior to Bank of America, Mr. Shelly worked as a Certified Public Accountant at Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. and is a graduate of the University of Denver.
